Easily large enough for four, but a romantic retreat if booked just for two, this unique villa in Andalucia boasts stunning views and is just a short stroll from local restaurants.

Character and contemporary design come together with aplomb at the stylish La Pileta. Built into, rather than on to, the hillside, with bare bedrock forming a fantastic feature throughout, this is a spacious house, ingeniously created. Architectural highlights include a lantern roof, a stone stairway following the curves of the rock-face, and a bathtub tucked between boulders, like bathing in a rock pool. Bold colours and eye-catching artworks enhance the villa’s individual style; a collection of films, books and music add entertainment into the mix; and modern amenities include satellite TV, WiFi, and air-conditioned living areas.
On the main (middle) floor are a study, the attractive kitchen/diner, and the bright and comfortable sitting room with doors to the outdoor terrace.  The bathroom and romantic master bedroom are on the lower level, and there is a simply styled twin room on the top floor. Outside, with fantastic open views, a shaded terrace is furnished for dining and relaxing, and hemmed by a spring-fed infinity pool. Just 200m away, there are shops, bars and restaurants in the ‘pueblo blanco’ Montecorto. And Ronda is within easy reach, 18km from the villa.

ABOUT THE AREA

One of oldest towns in Spain, Ronda is the largest of the pueblos blancos, the whitewashed villages that cling to hillsides in Andalucia’s Cádiz and Grazalema mountain ranges. The region was defined by the clash between Muslims and Christians, and that legacy is intensely felt on a Ronda holiday. Explore the blinding-white towns, scenic olive groves, and craggy limestone peaks, all within a relaxed drive from your Ronda-area villa.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note:  The second double bedroom is of slightly lower standard to the master bedroom and it shares one bathroom with the master bedroom.

The villa is not suitable for children of toddling age.
