About the villa
Anatoli is a gorgeous property in an awe-inspiring position, looking out over the azure waters of the Ionian Sea and beyond to the shimmering shores of the Greek mainland. Inspired by the emblematic, grandiose mansions dotted across this fascinating island, the mullioned walls, painted timber shutters and shaded balconies of the impressive façade offer only a tantalizing hint of the beautiful villa that lies within.
Internally the décor is tastefully understated (and, we believe, all the more appealing for that!); a combination of earthy flagstone tiles, limed oak flooring, vaulted beamed ceilings and a soft, pastel colour scheme creates warmth and maintains a harmonious contrast with the elegant furnishings, all of which have been carefully selected to remain contemporary yet with a subtle nod to classical Corfiot design.
With each of the four attractive bedrooms having en suite facilities plus pool/sea views the sleeping accommodation is perfectly balanced and, as one of the bedrooms enjoys its own independent access from the pool terrace, Anatoli would lend itself well to anyone seeking an added degree of privacy whilst remaining fully involved in all holiday activity.
Like any precious gem a suitable setting is needed to do it justice… and in this regard Anatoli definitely does not disappoint!
As the crisp Mediterranean sunlight pours in, you will find your eye seductively drawn outside to what is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional features of this delightful property. Simply encouraging indolence, the expansive pool terrace issues an irresistible invitation to soak up, not only the sun, but also those dramatic sweeping views of the Ionian Channel sparkling in a thousand shades of blue from the dazzling turquoise near the shore to the deep indigo waters beyond. Infinity-edged pools must surely have been invented for views like this!
Cooling shade for when temperatures are at their height is provided by large umbrellas and an impressive arched portico that is home to the barbecue and a lovely al fresco dining area.
Just a few minutes away at Barbati Beach boat trips, water taxis and water sports plus a selection of fine beachside restaurants and bars can all be found. Corfu Town (19km) is about a 30 minute drive via the scenic coastal road and is also served by a regular bus service.
