Itineraries

Day 1

Doha, Qatar

Whether you're a museum wanderer, an avid shopper or a beach goer, Doha has something for you. Doha is a city on the rise and has been for many years. There's always new architecture to marvel at and new sights to see. From beautiful mosques to waterside parks, there so much to feast your eyes on-and so many restaurants to feast in. Stop by the National Museum of Qatar to see not just marvels inside, but an intricately designed modern building. Then wrap up your day with a visit to one of many Souqs.

Day 2

Dammam, Saudi Arabia

The discovery of local oil reserves in 1938 transformed the once small coastal settlement of Dammam into a modern metropolis boasting a major seaport and unique attractions. Take a ferry ride to an artificial island and enjoy bike riding or visiting the iconic Khobar Water Tower. Discover the region's history at a local museum and browse a vibrant market or explore the scenic coastline during a guided tour. Whatever you choose to do, immerse yourself in a destination few have visited.

Day 3

Manama, Bahrain

Though only designated the capital of Bahrain in 1971, the region surrounding Manama has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. Between ancient times and today, control over the area underwent many changes, which you can learn about at local historic attractions and museums, including the ancient Dilmun Burial Mounds and the 15th century Arad Fort. Choose to splash into a diving or snorkelling tour or explore a nearby scenic island. After all, Bahrain includes 33 natural islands, so you have ample choices for outdoor exploration.

Day 4

Sir Bani Yas, UAE

Sir Bani Yas is an island southwest of Abu Dhabi, and the largest natural island in the United Arab Emirates. In 1977, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan established a wildlife reserve on the island, which has now become home to thousands of free-roaming animals such as ostriches, cheetahs, giraffes, sea turtles, gazelle, and the endangered Arabian oryx. Also a bird sanctuary, over one-hundred species of wild birds can be found on the island. When not spotting animals, visitors can indulge in numerous outdoor adventures like kayaking, mountain biking, dune sailing and more.

Days 5 & 6

Abu Dhabi, UAE

The world's richest city boasts a wealth of culture, history and adventure, from the emirate's old souks, where you can sip a fragrant Arabic coffee, to the rush of the world's fastest rollercoaster. This 5,000-year-old metropolis is a fascinating mix of modern architecture and atmospheric back streets. Put your bargaining hat on for a friendly faceoff with the merchants at the souk to get deals on handicrafts, artwork, even spices and dried fruit for the cook back home.

Days 7 & 8

Dubai, UAE

Experience the blending of traditional Arab culture and modern western culture in Dubai. Gaze skyward to see the tallest building in the world, the 2,722-feet-high futuristic Burj Khalifa tower, or walk over to the impressive Jumeirah Mosque. Seek out jet-set haunts or stroll through the heart of the old city, Dubai Creek, which is home to the Dubai museum as well as the labyrinth alleyways of gold, spice and textile souks, where bargaining is part of the fun and ritual.
